Through the speeches of international guests and speakers, the conference explores the evolution of dynamics in residential areas and the transformations of fluxes within the city.

Park Associati are pleased to take part in the fourth edition of the Pisa Biennale of Architecture with their MoLeCoLa masterplan. The project fits perfectly into the theme chosen by the Biennale: rethinking the future of cities and private and public spaces. MoLeCoLa rethinks and redesigns one of Milan’s vital nodes − the Bovisa neighbourhood − opening it to urban flows, ‘mending’ its connections with the surrounding areas and opening new shared public spaces for work, study and residence.

Biennale di Architettura di Pisa
Alessandro Rossi, one of the practice associate architects, takes part to the webinar organised for 6th October by the magazine Modulo, which focuses on the project that envisaged the complete restyling of a building dating back to the 1980s, aimed at turning it into headquarters suited to house modern offices. The webinar will explore the project’s main focal points from the perspectives of its key figures − the designer, the tenant and the interior designer.

With the lecture ‘Wood in major urban transformations’ given by Andrea Riva, one of the practice’s project leaders, Park Associati presents to Network Arca the MoLeCoLa project, which redesigns Milan’s Bovisa area. Specifically, the lecture focuses on wood’s potential to revolutionise major urban materplans by bringing sustainability, energy efficiency and lower economic costs.
ARCA: Architettura, Comfort Ambientale (Architecture, Environmental Comfort) is the first certification system for timber constructions, created to promote quality timber architecture and guarantee building performance and the health of those living and working within them.

The building complex by Pietro Portaluppi, which was recently upgraded by Park Associati, will be open on the afternoon of Saturday 25th September to the public of 2021 Open House, the event that opens the city’s places of significant architectural value, previously unseen and usually inaccessible.
The legal firm Allen & Overy, which occupies one of the two blocks of the complex, will open some of the rooms which were the focus of the restyling, including the library. Also accessible will be the lower-ground courtyard and Portaluppi’s original stairwell.
Saturday 25th September, from 2 pm to 6 pm
Park Associati is taking part in the European Transport Conference #ETC2021online, the yearly appointment organised by the Association for European Transport (AET) dedicated to transport experts, researchers and professionals, held online from 13th to 15th September.
The intervention by Park Associati’s architect Andrea Riva in collaboration with Net Engineering’s Jacopo Ognibene focuses on the potential of architectural design for a sustainable development of urban centres.
