• With 'Thinking Plus, Making Plus', Park Plus holds a theoretical-practical workshop at Iris Ceramica Group, in collaboration with The Plan

Park Plus is the protagonist of one of the workshops organised by Iris Ceramica Group on the occasion of Fuorisalone. As part of the event 'Innovating to compete research and development in architecture', reserved for young under-35 architects, Park Plus explores some of the recently developed issues related to applied research. In particular, the materials and construction techniques developed to achieve an increasingly sustainable design for current and future projects.

  • Architecture 6.0 Between project and future: the visions of six architectural firms on display through 3D-printed models

Curated by Danilo Premoli, the exhibition presents six projects, six visions of six architects +1. From 6th to 24th September 2021, the resin tables and 3d models will narrate projects that, while very different one from the other, are united by a common denominator: creating an architectural cube starting from a square or double rectangle plan with the same height. Park Associati presents the Il Sole 24 Ore Headuqarters project.

Cosentino City Milano will host Atelier(s) Alfonso Femia, Park Associati, Dontstop Lab Maurizio De Caro e Michele Brunello, MYGG, Vittorio Grassi Architects, Giuseppe Tortato Architetti.

    Inauguration: September 6, 12 am - 8 pm
    Exhibition: September 6 / 24, 10.30 am - 7 pm

Cosentino City Milano, piazza Fontana 6, Milan

  • THE LUST, designneedesire, the project by Chiara Zhu winner of the Milano Design Week Call #2 is on show from September 6 in the spaces of Park Hub.

In an almost Disney-like style made of objects, pastel colours and painted matryoshka dolls, which symbolise the individual and are the leitmotif of the exhibition, with the exhibithion THE LUST Chiara Zhu suggests the elusiveness and intrinsic contradiction of the combination of desire and need. Behind a seemingly aesthetic research of the images on display hides a deeper and (self) critical vision of contemporaneity.

    Inauguration: September 6, 7 - 10 pm
    Exhibition: September 6 / 10, 10 am - 7.30 pm

Park Hub, via Garofalo 31, Milan

  • Park Associati redesigns one of the dressing rooms of Milan's Teatro Arcimboldi for the ‘Vietato l'Ingresso’ ('No Entry') project

We are pleased to celebrate the reopening of Milan’s cultural venues by taking part in the 'Vietato l'Ingresso' project, curated by Giulia Pellegrino, which involved 17 architectural firms in the redesigning of as many dressing rooms for Teatro Arcimboldi. Darkness & Light is the name we have chosen for our project, which will be open to the public of Fuorisalone from 4th to 10th September.

Until 27th September, you can also vote for your favourite designer dressing room. The winning project will be entrusted with the redesigning of the 'Camerino Muti', the theatre's largest and most important dressing room.

Here is the link to book your visit and for further information.

    Open to visitors: September 4 / 10

  • Rethinking space and time in the contemporary city. New patterns for urban regeneration

Is it possible to put forward a new idea of proximity in urban contexts? In the words of Carlos Moreno, Professor at La Sorbona University in Paris, who first coined the 15-minute city concept: "That means transforming the space of a city, still highly mono-functional with various specialised areas, to multi-centred based on four main components – vicinity, diversity, density and ubiquity, to offer the essential social functions at a short distance”.

Andrea Riva, Project Leader at Park Associati and Jacopo Ognibene, architect specialised in Traffic and Sustainable Mobility planning, talk about the possibilities offered by urban regeneration and mobility planning with Flows, the thematic blog set up by NET Engineering International.

  • Restoring the Modern, enhancing the beauty

  • MoLeCoLa and FILI, two interacting projects that give life to one of the largest urban and extra-urban regeneration interventions in Europe

Promoted by the Lombardy Region, FNM, Ferrovie Nord and Trenord, FILI rethinks mobility along the Milan-Malpensa axis, the main route for the 2026 Milan-Cortina Olympics. A network of new high mobility green urban scenarios will take shape between the stations of Milan Cadorna, Milan Bovisa, Saronno and Busto Arsizio.

The MoLeCoLa masterplan rethinks both the Bovisa node and the railway station area, which will become its beating heart, and is one of the most important events of the intervention of urban mending in this area. MoLeCoLa experiments with alternative and sustainable ways of experiencing mobility, landscape, living, working and consumption, with the aim of increasing well-being for the individual and for the whole community.

Its interaction with FILI, which envisages the planting of hundreds of thousands of trees in the territory of 24 municipalities and the creation of a cycle 'superhighway' between Milan and Malpensa airport, will turn the Bovisa district into one of the most important points of exchange between Malpensa international airport and the city.

  • On the occasion of Fuorisalone, from 5th to 10th September 2021, Park Hub reopens its doors

Happy to reopen our practice to the public and to the city, we pick up where we left − the project that won our Milano Design Week Call #2, which we were not able to present in 2020.

Chiara Zhu, the young designer who won with her project The Lust, investigates the relationship and the contradictions between ‘desire and need’ using design’s own language and tools by tracing them back to a symbolic imagination that is both original and accessible. The exhibited project will be enriched with new stimuli and thoughts that the past months have inevitably helped generate.

The Lust, by Chiara Zhu, 5th - 10th September, Park Hub, Via Garofalo 31, Milan.

    Inauguration on 6th September.
