  • A new office tower overlooking Piazza Luigi di Savoia in Milan

The new office tower envisaged by Park Associati’s project for the former Hotel Michelangelo is destined to become the landmark that will lead the way in the redevelopment of Piazza Luigi di Savoia – adjacent to the Stazione Centrale – by reconnecting car and pedestrian flows and promoting alternative mobility thanks to the creation of a bicycle parking station.

Following the complete demolition of the hotel, the new complex comprises two adjacent towers rising from a four-storey volume whose facades are in line with the surrounding buildings, thus creating a visual connection between the complex and the square’s structures.

  • A reinterpretation of the Moderno Milanese: Park Associati regenerates for Artisa the Torre della Permanente

2022 sees the beginning of the redevelopment, restoration and conservative refurbishment of the building in via Turati 32 in Milan, entrusted by Artisa Group to Park Associati. Designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni and Luigi Fratino as part of the complex that houses the Museo della Permanente, the twelve-storey tower comprising 5,000 square metres of office space will maintain its current intended use after the intervention.

Stemming from a thorough analysis of the surrounding context – strongly characterised by contemporary architectures – and respect for the original project, the new design aims to maintain and enhance the formal uncluttered style of the building's lines, emphasising the composition's sobriety.

The removal of any superfetation and the building’s adaptation to the current plant needs and to the casing’s performance requirements aim to minimise, where possible, the impact of the interventions and to create ad hoc elements  integrated with the original project.

  • “Il futuro sostenibile viene dal passato”, TED Circle curated by TEDxBrianza and Theatro

This debate saw a group of selected designers reflect on the practical approach architecture must adopt to build a sustainable future from a collective and universal angle, integrating past culture and future technology.

Elisa Taddei, Associate at Park, underlined the importance of experimentation and research in bringing clients to open their mind to new materials and construction methods, in view of creating buildings that are both dynamic and sustainable that can follow change also in terms of space accessibility.
