Material, Process, Impact: regenerative fashion as inspiration for design
a conversation with Silvia Stella Osella
Fashion is moving beyond sustainability to embrace regenerative design, an approach that seeks to create a positive impact through bio-inspired materials, circular processes, and a new way of designing. The fashion industry is becoming a true innovation lab, offering valuable insights for the worlds of design and architecture alike.
In this talk, Silvia Stella Osella will guide us through the new frontiers of responsible fashion, delving into her research on materials, technologies, and communication strategies for more conscious and innovative design practices.
A Creative Consultant and Conscious Fashion Specialist, Silvia Stella Osella explores the social and environmental impact of fashion, connecting design, anthropology, and sociology. After working with some of Europe’s leading textile groups, she established her own studio in Milan in 2015, collaborating with international brands on research and product development, with a particular focus on sustainability and innovation. In addition to consulting for companies, she teaches at Domus Academy and Istituto Marangoni and contributes to both Italian and international publications on the topic of sustainable fashion.
