Park Associati presents PAFF PAFF – Liminal Spaces for Sensorial Rituals, an installation by the design studio Finemateria, developed at the invitation of Park Associati and created in collaboration with cc-tapis and QuadroDesign. The installation can be experienced at Park Hub from 7th to 13th April 2025, during Milan Design Week and it’s part of the Porta Venezia Design District.

PAFF PAFF is a spatial experiment that invites visitors to slow down, reconnect with their senses, and engage in a moment of restorative inoperativity. The title refers to the delicate “paff paff” sound of slippers touching a soft surface—an intimate ritual marking the transition from the outside world to a space of comfort and care.

Enveloped in wool and shaped through the tufting technique, the installation consists of modular sound panels and soft seating, forming a circular, immersive environment. The sensorial experience is further enhanced by the warmth and scent of wool, natural soundscapes, and refined industrial details in stainless steel. Through this interplay of materiality and perception, PAFF PAFF evokes a liminal space, a place of transition and retreat, suspended between urban intensity and moments of stillness.
