APPROACH
Park Materials places particular attention on the carbon footprint of materials, encouraging a circular approach to design. Research is developed in close dialogue with the needs of the studio’s teams, while also maintaining its own autonomy, enabling the discovery of new solutions that inspire and enrich the design process.
Experimentation is carried out in collaboration with partner companies and emerging players, with the goal of testing and integrating innovative materials into our projects. Park Materials also oversees a programme of ongoing training, organizing monthly meetings and visits to companies to keep the studio up to date on technologies, new products, and practical applications, facilitating more informed and effective material choices.
MATERIAL LIBRARY
The Material Library is the physical and conceptual core of Park Materials: a space dedicated to the collection, cataloguing, and sharing of materials, developed through ongoing dialogue with companies, trade fairs, and industry seminars. Here, you'll find ceramics, wood, metals, glass, textiles, composites, and experimental materials from emerging companies that place sustainability at the heart of their value proposition. It’s a living tool where design teams can explore textures, finishes, and performance first-hand to make more targeted and conscious selections.
Park Materials is responsible for the continuous updating of the Material Library, managing the supplier database and related digital documentation, supporting an informed, integrated, and ever-evolving design process.
