Your role

We are looking for a Bid & Proposal Specialist to join our Business Development team, supporting the financial management of projects, the preparation of bids (public tenders and commercial proposals for private clients), and the monitoring of the project pipeline.

This is a cross-functional role bridging Project Management, Business Development, and Finance. It is ideally suited to candidates with a background in Management, Civil or Building Engineering, or Architecture who are looking to develop a broad set of skills in project control, bidding, and business development within a leading design practice, rather than pursuing a traditional specialist role.

The position is designed for a recent graduate and offers a structured professional development path within our Business Development and Project Management teams.

Key responsibilities

Support the financial monitoring of active projects and the maintenance of the project pipeline.

Assist in the preparation of public tenders and commercial proposals (RFPs).

Coordinate external consultants in collecting and organizing bid documentation.

Maintain internal databases (clients and business opportunities) and support contract management activities.

Contribute to the development of dashboards and reporting tools together with the Business Development team.

Your skills

Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and a basic understanding of management control principles (cost analysis, budgeting, and variance analysis), acquired through academic coursework or equivalent experience.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a structured, reliable approach to managing multiple deadlines.

Native or fluent Italian and excellent written and spoken English. French is considered a plus.

Professional proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.

The following are considered a plus, but are not required: knowledge of Italian and European public procurement procedures and e-procurement platforms; academic or professional experience with CRM systems or project management tools; interest in the application of AI technologies.

Required Experience

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Management Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, Architecture, Economics, Management, or a related field.

0–1 year of professional experience after graduation. The position is intended for recent graduates. Internships, thesis work, or academic projects related to management control, project controls, public procurement, PMO, or business development will be considered relevant experience.

What we offer

A structured onboarding and development program designed for recent graduates, with direct mentoring from senior professionals across the Business Development, Project Management, and Project Control teams.

An initial six-month contract with the opportunity to transition into a long-term position based on performance.

Direct exposure to high-profile Italian and European projects, with visibility across the entire project lifecycle, from bidding and contracting to project delivery and financial control.

A clear professional growth path toward roles such as Bid Manager or Business Development Manager.

A collaborative working environment in our Milan office.
