Torre Parko

A new urban landmark for Saronno, where architecture, nature and contemporary living converge.

Commissioned by Sig.Ma Costruzioni, the new residential tower in Saronno explores a contemporary model of living in which architecture, landscape and public space are conceived as a continuous system. The building redefines the relationship between interior and exterior, extending the domestic environment into the surrounding landscape and establishing a direct connection with both nature and the city. This approach is embodied in an innovative construction system, still relatively uncommon in Italy, combining architectural quality, technological performance and environmental responsibility. The envelope is composed of exposed precast concrete panels that clearly express the building's construction logic, turning structure into architectural language. The materiality of concrete recalls the site's industrial character while reinterpreting it through a contemporary expression defined by a pattern of vertical grooves that reinforces the tower's slender proportions and transforms the perception of the façade as light and viewpoint continuously change.

The project is organised around a landscaped system connecting Saronno's historic centre and railway station to the new residential development, creating a sequence of open spaces culminating in the entrance square. At ground level, the building opens to the landscape, generating permeable spaces, while the articulated volumes ensure that each residence maintains a direct relationship with the surrounding greenery. On the upper levels, vegetation becomes an integral architectural element, extending domestic space outdoors, enhancing environmental comfort and reinforcing the continuity between living and landscape. Along Via Varese, the podium accommodates retail functions integrated into the overall composition while remaining clearly distinct from the residential entrances. Torre Parko proposes a residential model in which construction innovation, nature and collective space converge to redefine the relationship between urban density and quality of living.
