The city from a gender perspective
a conversation with Sex & the City
‘What would a feminist city look like?’ This event offers an opportunity to reflect on the urgency of adopting a gender perspective in urban planning, exploring how cities can become more inclusive and safer for everyone. Florencia Andreola and Azzurra Muzzonigro, founders of the association Sex & the City, will lead the conversation, addressing key topics such as the perception of fear in public spaces, the role of women in caregiving activities, and the concept of "gender mainstreaming" in urban design.
Sex & the City is a social promotion association (APS) founded in 2022 by Florencia Andreola and Azzurra Muzzonigro. The organization examines cities through a gendered lens, combining research, theoretical and practical projects, and public activities. With tools such as the "Milan Gender Atlas" and the publication "Libere, non coraggiose", Sex & the City aims to support public administrations in developing more inclusive urban policies, capable of addressing the needs and desires of the diverse individuals who inhabit urban spaces.
Park Stage is a series of monthly events where we invite professionals from various fields to share their experiences with the Park team and an external audience.
